What is Gear Coupling?

A gear coupling is a three-piece flexible shaft coupling used to connect the input and output shafts of a mechanical power transmission assembly. Flexible shaft couplings are used for addressing the usual misalignment between connected shafts.

Function

Gear couplings are used to connect two rotating shafts and efficiently transmit mechanical power. The main function of this coupling is not only to connect two rotator shafts but also to allow axial movement and to compensate for misalignment of the connecting shafts.ย ย Advantages
